You must be at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan).

3. Service Description

Palora provides in-home care and assistance services for older adults in Taipei and surrounding districts. Services are delivered by trained care aides under structured care arrangements, as described on this website and in individual care plan documentation. Service availability depends on aide availability and geographic coverage, confirmed at the time of enquiry.

Current coverage areas include Shilin, Neihu, Zhongshan, Songshan, and central Taipei districts. Enquiries from other areas are welcome and assessed individually.

4. User Responsibilities

Users who engage Palora's services agree to:

Palora reserves the right to suspend or withdraw a care arrangement where these responsibilities are persistently not met.

5. Prohibited Activities

Users must not use this website or Palora's services to engage in any unlawful activity, submit false or misleading information, attempt to engage Palora aides outside of agreed arrangements, or reproduce or commercially exploit any content from this website without written permission from Palora.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, images, logos, and design — is the property of Palora or its licensors and is protected under applicable intellectual property law. Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive licence to view and use the website for personal, non-commercial purposes. No other rights are granted.

7. Payment Terms

Service fees are stated in New Taiwan Dollars (NT$) and outlined in your care arrangement documentation. Fees are due in accordance with the payment schedule agreed at the start of each arrangement. Palora will provide clear written confirmation of all fees before any arrangement commences.

If adjustments to service scope affect pricing, Palora will provide written notice of the revised amount before the changes take effect. In the event of cancellation, any applicable refund terms will be set out in the individual care arrangement agreement.

8. Service Delivery Terms

Palora will make reasonable efforts to maintain the agreed schedule and assigned aide. In situations where an assigned aide is unavailable due to illness or personal circumstances, Palora will endeavour to provide a suitable replacement with as much advance notice as possible.

Care plans may be adjusted based on evolving client needs. Any significant changes to the scope or cost of an arrangement will be agreed in writing with the family contact before taking effect.

9. Confidentiality

Palora treats all client and family information with strict confidentiality. Care aides are bound by confidentiality obligations as part of their engagement with Palora. Client health and personal information is shared only with team members directly involved in the delivery of care, and with healthcare providers where explicitly required or authorised.

10. Disclaimers

Palora provides care and assistance services delivered by qualified aides. Our services do not constitute medical treatment and should not be treated as a substitute for professional medical care. Palora aides follow care plans and physician instructions but are not licensed to provide diagnoses, prescribe medication, or perform clinical procedures.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable Taiwan law, Palora's liability for any claim arising from the use of this website or our services is limited to the fees paid for the specific arrangement in question during the period relevant to the claim.

Palora is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of income or loss of data, arising from the use of this website or our services except where required by law.

12. Termination

Either party may terminate a care arrangement by providing written notice in accordance with the terms set out in the individual arrangement documentation. Palora may terminate an arrangement with immediate effect where a client's safety or aide welfare is at risk, where fraudulent information has been provided, or where payment obligations have not been met.

On termination, any outstanding fees for services already delivered become immediately due.

13. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to first attempt informal resolution by contacting Palora directly at [email protected]. If resolution cannot be reached informally within 30 days, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Taipei, Taiwan, and governed by the laws of the Republic of China.

14. General Provisions

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between Palora and the user regarding use of the website and services. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect. Palora's failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
