Rooted in Respect.
Guided by Care.
Palora was founded on a straightforward belief: older adults thrive when supported with both skill and genuine human warmth, in the comfort of their own home.
Back to HomeFrom a Family's Need to a Family's Mission
Palora began in 2016 when our founder, Chen Wei-Lin, found herself struggling to arrange consistent, trustworthy care for her own aging mother following a hip replacement. The options available at the time felt either impersonal or inadequate for the subtleties of daily home life.
She assembled a small team of trained care aides and began working directly with families in Shilin District, Taipei โ focusing on the kind of attentive, personalized support she had wished existed for her own family. Word spread, and Palora grew steadily through referrals and trust.
Today, Palora works with over 180 families across Taipei, offering three structured care arrangements and a commitment to continuous professional development for every aide in our network.
We remain a purpose-led organization. Decisions are guided not by volume, but by the standard of care we can genuinely maintain. We grow only as fast as we can ensure quality.

Professional Elderly Home Care in Taipei
Palora operates in Shilin District, Taipei, serving families throughout the northern districts of the city. Our focus is on in-home support for older adults โ structured, consistent, and built around each individual's rhythm of daily life.
The foundation of our approach is continuity. We assign a dedicated aide to each client wherever possible, allowing familiarity to build naturally over time. Older adults respond well to known faces and consistent routines, and our scheduling model is designed to support this.
Families who work with Palora value the open communication we maintain throughout the arrangement. Progress updates, schedule changes, and health-related observations are shared clearly and promptly. Family members who live elsewhere in Taiwan โ or abroad โ find this particularly reassuring.
Whether a loved one needs a few hours of companionship each day or comprehensive full-time support, Palora shapes the care arrangement around actual needs rather than fixed packages. We welcome enquiries from families at any stage of planning.
